Music For Meddies - by Jeff Williams, Seldom Sky
May this music bring healing, peace, love, serenity and joy to any who are going through the experience of having Medullary Thyroid Cancer.
Especially during the long days and nights following my surgery and radiation treatments, when my spirits were low, my body was uncomfortable, sleep was impossible, and the worries and uncertainties that this cancer brought me were almost more than I thought I could endure - music like this soothed my soul, lifted my spirits and gave my spirit hope.
It is my sincere wish that each of you may experience the same positive effects of this beautiful and peaceful music.
(For best results listen with a good pair of speakers or head phones. Much of the subtle sonic landscapes and textures that are so integral to this genre of music are lost to the poor quality of cell phone or laptop speakers. Trust me - you will be richly rewarded for listening with the proper equipment!)
I will continue to add songs to this page as I record them. So check back often! To hear my entire list of electronic music click here.

Sailing Off The Edge Of The World
… and as the crew waved farewell She sailed off the side, through the mist toward Orion, and galaxies afar a ship no more, only a myth. |

Soul Kite
Our consciousness longs to soar above the Earth, free from the gravity of everyday demands and struggles. Among the clouds is where our imagination plays, our creativity thrives and our love flows on the wind. Lest the wind carry me away forever, though, my true love holds the string, my one connection, my heart's home, the one whom I will return to always. |

The Same Horizon
As I was visiting San Diego recently and standing on the beach looking out at the ocean and the distant horizon, I realized that it was the same horizon I had looked at the year before, when I was last there on that same beach. So much had changed in my life during the past year since I last saw that horizon, and I felt so different - like a new person. But the horizon was the same, unchanged. I felt both comforted and awed. The simple fact that I was looking at the same spot of ocean seemed at the moment, the most profound thing I have felt in a long time. I felt so different, yet the same - both at once. So from that I drew my inspiration for this song. |

Brazilian Cat
A track to either dance to or to just sit and relax and listen. Whatever you feel. It makes me want to dance. I should mention that I'm a terrible dancer. So instead of dancing, I really get into a good beat in the music. I love rhythm!! This song was a lot of fun to build around the beats i created and discovered. I hope you like it! |

Now
This track was done with my daily mindfulness practice in mind. I try to keep myself focused on the moment as much as possible. It helps me in many ways to do that. Creating music is a great way to practice mindfulness, as there is nothing else in my head when I'm doing it. I just get lost in the process and float on a sea of calm. |

Something Almost Lost
There is beauty in all things, no matter how sad, how hopeless, how difficult, when we have a connection to the Love that fuels the Universe. When we almost lose something, the beauty is in realizing what we almost lost and how important it is to us. As if it were even possible to forget that! The beauty is in the opportunity to rededicate our love to that which was almost gone, and to cherish it forever from that day forward. |
